Charles Edmund Conley

Charles Edmund Conley, age 62 of Morganton, passed away February 3, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Atlanta. Mr. Conley was born October 22, 1949 in Cherokee County, NC to the late Edmund and Thelda Loudermilk Conley. A member of the Conerstone Baptist Church in Cherry Log. He was a welder and he loved fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his father, Edmund Conley, mother, Thelda Conley, brother, Frank Conley and his first wife, Wanda Conley.

Survivors include: wife, Karlene Conley, son, Casey (Mary) Conley, daughter, Holli (Eric) Williams, step daughter, Anna Garner, brother, Jimmy Conley, grandson, Bretton Williams, grandson, Gage Conley, grandson, Cadan Williams and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cherry Log with Dr. Paul Mins officiating. Interment will follow in the Ivy Log Baptist Church Cemetery in Blairsville. Pallbearers include Kevin Dye, Michael Davis, Allan Holt, Buddy Rogers, Danny Key, Danny Smith and Kevin Tankersley. Honorary pallbearers include Bretton Williams, Gage Conley and Cadan Williams.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home in Blue Ridge on Sunday, February 05, 2012 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
