Mr. Charles Arthur Dewitt, age 58 of Copperhill, passed away May 7, 2013 at the Copper Basin Medical Center. Mr. Dewitt was born May 24, 1954 in Knoxville, TN to George and Shirley Brought Dewitt. Charles enjoyed rafting and working on old cars, and lately he spent time panning for gold.
Survivors include: son, Shannon Dewitt, son, Jeremy Dewitt, daughter, Jessica Stanley, sister, Holly Dewitt Williams, granddaughter, Kimberly Adrian Dewitt, granddaughter, Aubrie McDarris, grandson, Logan Dewitt, and granddaughter, Kalliee Stanley.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the St. Mark's Church in Copperhill.
The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville, Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
