Cecil Clay Owenby

Mr. Cecil Clay Owenby, age 92 of Blue Ridge, passed away November 28, 2015 at Charles George VA Medical Center, Ashville, NC. Mr. Owenby was born March 19, 1923 in Culberson, NC to the late Roy Byrd Owenby and the late Jesse Trammel Owenby. Cecil served in the U.S.Army during WWII as a Tec Sgt he also worked as a builder and developer before retirement. A member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Fannin Co, he was preceded in death by son, Newell Owenby, sister, Hazel Harper, father, Roy Byrd Owenby, mother, Jesse Owenby.

Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Jo Ann (Brad) Trasdahl, daughter & son-in-law, Tracy (Dana) Hughes, son & daughter-in-law, Robert (Steffanie) Woods, daughter, Katherine Owenby, daughter, Coleen Owenby, sister, Gladys Donahue, Brother, Tom Owenby, sister, Dot Laney 5 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren.

Memorial Funeral services: Monday, November 30, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Pastor Robert Fancher & Pastor Valentin Rusu officiating.
