Cecil Anderson Phillips

Cecil Anderson Phillips, age 75 of Andrews, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 21, 2009. Cecil was born Friday, October 13, 1933 in Cherokee County, NC to the late James Otis Phillips and Nellie Grindstaff Phillips. He was a US Army Veteran serving in Korea, a member of Andrews First Baptist and had retired from Baker Furniture in Andrews. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and looking for ginseng., He was preceded in death by sister, Joann Lackey.
Survivors include: mother, Nellie Phillips of Andrews, daughter, Debrah Phillips of Blairsville, GA, daughter & son-in-law, Karen & Bobby Davis of Topton, son, Michael Phillips of Andrews, brother, Joe Eddie Phillips of Andrews, sister, Jean & Cecil Thompson of Canton, NC, sister, Geneva Conley of Ashville, sister and brother in law, Janet & Arlen West of Andrews, sister & brother in law, Violet & LeRoy Hembree, sister, Jane Phillips of Andrews, grandchildren, Bennie, Candi, Joy, & Christopher, great grandchildren, Austin, Sharon, Lane & Ethan.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 23, 2009 at 2:00PM from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Briartown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Richard Lunsford, Bennie Davis, Candi Davis.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from Monday, March 23 12-2.
