Mrs. Carolyn Mae Allen, age 82, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007 at Dallas, GA. Mrs. Allen was born Tuesday, February 10, 1925 in Muskegee County, GA to the late Byron Appleby and the late Kathern Augusta Dollor Appleby. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gilmore Allen.
Carolyn was a homemaker mother of two children. She moved to Blue Ridge with her late husabnd, James in 1980 and is survived by her sister, Martha Hill of Florida; son & daughter-in-law, Jim & Kay Allen of Blue Ridge, GA, daughter & son-in-law, Donna & Larry Phillips of Dallas, Ga, grandsons, Michael Brown and Glynn Allen Phillips, granddaughter, Jenny Phillips, and four great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 4, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating. Music will be provided by Martha Kries Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 A.M. until time of service on Friday, May 4.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to North Georgia Mountain Hospice.
The Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
