Dr. Carole L. Hall

Dr. Carole L. Hall, age 84 of Murphy, NC, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, in Blue Ridge, GA. Carole was born July 16, 1940, in Kokomo, IN to Robert and Florence Ludwig. Carole is a graduate of Valparaiso University, and received her Masters and PHD in Bio Chemistry from Purdue University. She was a research chemist at Harvard University, University of Sweden, Duke University and Emory University. Carole was a board member and avid supporter of the Brasstown Concert Association. She was an accomplished musician, (piano, organ, flute, recorder), a Master weaver and wine maker. Carole is of the Lutheran faith and member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. 

Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Dwight H. Hall; father, Robert Ludwig; mother, Florence Ludwig; and brother, Steve Ludwig, and beloved cat Santha. 

She is survived by her brothers, Bruce Ludwig, (Patti) Portland, OR and Greg Ludwig (Wanda) Columbus, IN. Sister-in-law Ann Ludwig, Brother-in-Law Frank Hall and wife Carol, and friends Steve and Karen Thompson. 

The family thanks Pruitt Health and Hospice in Blue Ridge for their care. Memorial service will be announced at a later date.
