Carol Ann Apgar Nowak, 77, passed Aug. 29, 2016, at her home in Hiawassee Ga.
She was born Apr. 28, 1939 in Somerville N.J She lived in Lambertville N.J., Hollywood Fl., Sebastian Fl., Franklin N.C. then moved to Hiawassee Ga. She was a member of the Lambertville volunteer Rescue Squad and a member of the Lambertville Police Department. She was a Cub Scout Den mother, coached the girls' softball team and coached the Lambertville Ramblers Cheerleaders. She was a loving housewife,mother, grandmother. She moved to Hollywood Fl. in 1970 and became a member of the Hollywood Police Department.
Carol was a member of the Hiawassee United Methodist Church of Hiawassee Ga. Survived by her husband of 32 years, Walter F. Nowak; Sons, Sterling J. Moninghoff II of Dale City Va, Richard L. Moninghoff of Franklin N.C.; daughter Cindy L. French of Palmyra Pa; Stepson Scott W. Nowak of Franklin N.C.; Stepdaughters Pamela M. Moninghoff of Franklin N.C., Janet A. Frengel of Vero Beach, Fl., brother, Luther "Butch" Apgar of St. Amant, La.; sister Betty Leonard of Franklin, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and 10 Great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her, Father Harry Apgar; mother Ruth Smith Apgar Muscatell; Brother
Lewis Apgar; step-sister Patricia Muscatell; and son Lawrence Moninghoff,
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 pm on September 2, 2016 at Hiawassee United MethodistChurch with Pastor Sam Hamby officiating. The family will receive friends at Hiawassee
United Methodist Church 1:30 until the service begins.
