Carmella Hamlin, age 85 of Young Harris, GA, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Chatuge Regional Hosptial. Carmella was born in Dauphin County, PA to the late John Lio and Carmella Fescina Lio. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Congetta Maggio, Marie Steckert and Anne Lio and brother, Anthony Lio.
Survivors include: husband, Robert Hamlin, of Young Harris, daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Ron McKay, of Hiawasse, GA, brother, Salvadore Lio, of Clearwater, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and internment will be held Tuesday, July, 21, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Laurel Hills Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Blair officiating. Serving as pallbearers are: Curtis Wilson, Carl Ernst, Ron McKay, Bob West, Charles Sandiford and Joe Pierro.
The family will receive friends at Cochran Funeral Home, Hiawassee, Monday, July 20, 2009 from 6 to 8 P.M..
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to, Alzheimers Association.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, GA is in charge of arrangements.
