Mr. Carlos Leon Phillips, age 64, of Andrews, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Park Ridge Hospital in Chattanooga. Carlos was born Sunday, May 9, 1943 in Union County Ga. to the late Willie Martin Phillips and the late Arrie Sosebee Phillips. He loved spending time with people, trading, liked to fish and was a loving grandpaw. He was preceded in death by wife, Velma Phillips, daughter's Lorie Ann Phillips and Penny Sue Phillips.
Survivors include: wife, Pansy (Ann) Beaver Phillips, son & wife, Leon & Annette Phillips of Gainesville, son, Ray Phillips of Gainesville, daughter & husband, Cheri & Dennis Kile of Hayesville, daughter & husband, Terry & David Patton of Hayesville, sister & brother in law, Shirley & James Grindle of Cleveland, Ga, brother in law J.L. Grizzle of Gainesville, granddaughter, Heather Phillips, grandson, Dalton Phillips, grandson & wife, Jason & Christy Fox, granddaughter, Nicole Fox and friend Michael Matheson, great grandson, Logan Whitener, great granddaughter, Shayna Matheson, great granddaughter, Kelli Conley, nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 20, 2007 at 3:00PM from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jerry Beavers officiating. Interment will follow in Union Memory Gardens in Blairsville. Serving as pallbearers are: David Patton, Michael Matheson, Kenneth Beavers, Bobby Foster, Chris Mecreary and Greg Stratton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Saturday, May 19.
