Calvin R Nicholson

Mr. Calvin R. Nicholson, age 55 of Mineral Bluff, passed away March 4, 2016 at Piedmont Hospital of Atlanta. Mr. Nicholson was born May 4, 1960 in Blue Ridge, GA to Willie James Nicholson and Essie Ware Nicholson of Blue Ridge, Ga. He was preceded in death by his father Willie. James Nicholson, wife Denise Yvonne Nicholson, sister Bonnie Broadaway, sisters in law Joan Nicholson and Marilyn Nicholson. Mr. Nicholson was a lifetime resident of Blue Ridge, Ga. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in the north Georgia mountains as well as playing softball. He was a faithful employee of C&M Dental Labs for many years.

Survivors include: mother Essie Ware Nicholson, daughter Jessica (Jason) Stanley-Hughes, sister Linda Anderson, brothers Dennis Nicholson, Bobby Nicholson brother-in-law, Jim Broadaway Also four grandchildren Logan DeWitt, Kalliee Stanley, Austin Hughes, and Taylor Hughes, nieces and nephews, Linda Gail Lance, Christal Davis, Aleshia Nicholson, and Kevin Nicholson, many grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Davenport and Rev. Tulley Griggs officiating. Music provided by Back To Bethany. Interment will follow in Chastian Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers: Todd Dilbeck, James Millholand, Danny Foster, Chuck Taylor, Ed Patterson, Mark Burger. Honorary pallbearers: Dennis Nicholson, Bobby Nicholson, Kevin Nicholson, Logan DeWitt, Don Cook, and Vincent Davis.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Monday, March 7, 2016, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
