Callie Mae "Ma Maw" Bell, age 93, of Anderson, SC, formerly of Cherokee County NC, passed away Friday, December 28, 2007 at Hospice House of Anderson, SC. Callie was born September 21, 1914 in Polk County, TN to the late Jacob Tullie Westmoreland and the late Ella Mae McConnel Westmoreland. She was a member of Cross Hill Church of God in Belton, SC. She was a godly ,loving
mother and grandmother who was loved and respected by everyone. She loved flowers, cooking, traveling, reading and was an excellent story teller. Heaven's gain is our loss.

Callie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arthur Lee Bell, and son, Billy Lee Bell, brothers, John, Jack and Walter Westmoreland, one sister, Desma Carlton, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild..

Survivors include: daughter, Polly Duvall of Blue Ridge, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Kathy & Wade Dyar of Anderson, SC; daughter & son-in-law, Diane & Gary Wardlaw of Anderson, SC; daughter & son-in-law, Merry Carol & Walter Brown of Honea Path, SC; son & daughter-in-law, Daniel & Mary Bell of Anderson, SC; son & daughter-in-law, Anthony & Nancy Bell of Rotonda West, FL; son, Archie Bell of Anderson, SC; niece, Arlene Bagwell of Anderson SC, and nephew, Kenneth Burns of Anderson, SC, who were considered as her own children; seventeen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 31, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend John Christmas officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill (Polk Co.) Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Douglas Duvall, Lynn Duvall, Jimmy Gibbs, and Brent Cole.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Sunday, December 30.
