Burnece Lillie Shields

Mrs. Burnece "Bunt" Burnett Shields, age 77 of Blue Ridge, passed away November 17, 2014 at Fannin Regional Hospital. Mrs. Shields was born May 18, 1937 in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Jewell Burnett and the late Butell Waters Burnett. Mrs. Shields retired from Levi Strauss, loved traveling, playing Bingo at Ingles, collecting food for the local food pantries and working with different community organizations. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler. Through the years, she was very community oriented and she worked with many community organizations to help those in need.

Survivors include: daughters, Sharon (Jerry) Pack and Angie (Vance) Allen, sons, Phillip (Sina) Wilson and Jeffrey (Melinda) Wilson, grandchildren, Whitney (Trent) Summers, Shea (Ben) Callahan, Nicole Cantrell, Rebecca (Wesley) Huffman, Kristan Bri Wilson, Mykayla Wilson, Kyle Smith, Myranda Wilson, Dylan Wilson, Adrianna Cole, Allyson Cole, great grandchildren, Gabe, Blake and Reid Summers, Julissa Callahan, Cooper and Zane Huffman.

Memorial services are planned for Monday, December 1, 2014 at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with a visitation from 3:00 - 6:00 pm with a service to follow with the Rev. Terry Callihan officiating and music provided by Back to Bethany.
