Bronze ""Wooly"" Ledford

Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces funeral services for Mr. Bronze "Wooly" Ledford, age 71, of Auburn, Georgia, who passed away in Gwinnett County Medical Center, early Wednesday morning, September 19, 2012.

Bronze was born in Hiawassee, Georgia, on February 8, 1941, a son of the late Guy Ledford and Rendie Chastain Ledford. He had lived in Gwinnett County for over 25 years. He was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church. Besides his parents, Bronze had been preceded in death by two brothers, Bryce Ledford and Bruce Ledford.

Bronze will be missed and remembered fondly by all who knew him, but especially his family, who loved and cared for him so much: sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Myron Turner, of Blairsville, Georgia; sister, Belinda Post, of Douglasville, Georgia; and sister and brother-in-law, Bivian and Harry Hughes, of Blairsville; many other nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Bronze have been scheduled for Friday, September 21, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, with Rev. Doug Smith officiating. The eulogy will be presented by Myron Turner. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Burton Turner, Michael Ledford, Brian Rountree, Ervin Chastain, Parker Turner, Brady Turner, and Bretney Turner. Burial will be in Osborn Cemetery in Hiawassee. Visitation at the funeral home in Hiawassee will be held on Thursday evening, September 20, 2012, between the hours of 5 until 8 p.m.
