Bridget Melissa Shook

Bridget Melissa Barnard Shook, age 58 of Young Harris, Georgia, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023. Bridget was born May 2, 1965 to Noel and Zell Barnard of Young Harris, Georgia. She was a graduate of Towns County High School. Following high school, she worked at Orbit sewing plant and then attended North Georgia Technical College to be certified to work in the lab at Murphy Medical Center. Bridget enjoyed watching Westerns, reading, taking care of animals, and spending time with her grandson Tucker. She was also very proud to be the mother of Kirk and Craig.


She is survived by her husband, Cliff Shook; sons Kirk (Miriam) Shook, Craig Shook; parents Noel and Zell Barnard; sister Penny (Brock) Barnard Auvil; brother Danny Barnard; grandson Tucker Shook; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.


The funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Many Forks Baptist Church, Young Harris, GA at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends at Many Forks Baptist Church from  2:00 pm until the service time.
