Brian G. Surig

Brian Gregory Surig, age 49 of Blue Ridge, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 in Blue Ridge. Mr. Surig was born January 8, 1969 in Atlantic City, NJ to Rollin Surig and June Mathews Surig. Mr. Surig moved to the Blue Ridge area in 1999 and worked as a stone mason and a mechanic and enjoyed spending his spare time as a tinkering master, working on various types of machinery, and with his beloved pets. Brian was loved by his friends and family and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include: father, Rollin Surig, mother, June Surig, son, Chad (Jennifer) Surig, brother, Mark Surig, grandchild, Collin William Surig, very special friend Diane McChesney, his dog, Boy, parrot Ozzie, pig, Pork Chop, and cat, Chain Saw.

Funeral services: Monday, July 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home in Blue Ridge, GA with Terry Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Chad Surig, Trevor Corey, Rollin Surig, Jerome Lloyd, Keith Surig, and Chris Anglin.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
