Bretha Mae Gladson

Bertha Mae Gladson, age 85 of Murphy, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Copper Basin Medical Center. Bertha was born Thursday, August 3, 1922 in Cherokee Co. to the late William and Mary Ware. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Bertha was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by husband Hoyt Gladson, brothers, Claude Ware, Floyd Ware and Verlin Ware.

Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, Jerry & Pat Gladson of Murphy, Ronnie & Sheila Gladson of Copperhill; daughter & son-in-law, Carol & Homer Dillard of Murphy, Kay & Mitchell Loudermilk of Murphy; daughter, Linda Hembree of Murphy; brothers, Pat Ware of Danville, VA, Glen Ware of Murphy; brothers & sister in law, C.S. & Ilene Ware of Murphy, Max & Pauline Ware of Murphy; sister in law, Myrtle Ware of Danville, VA, Emma Kate Ware of Murphy, Iris Ware of Danville, Va; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 18, 2008 at 2:00PM from the Simonds Chapel Baptist Church with the Reverend Terry Gladson and Reverend Steve Ware, officiating. Music will be provided by . Interment will follow in Simonds Chapel Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Gary Gladson, Mike Dillard, Russell Loudermilk, Marc Loudermilk, Rob Gladson, Brad Gladson.
The family will receive friends at the church from Sunday, February 17 after 5:00PM.
