Brent Earl Moody

Mr. Brent Earl Moody, age 45, of Young Harris, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at Union General Hospital. Brent was born January 31, 1972 in Hiawassee. He was a member of Eastgate Church in Hiawassee and was a Farm Bureau agent for many years in Hayesville. Brent was a man of loyalty...to his family, his friends, his church, and his Job. He was an avid fan of both the Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia Bulldogs. Brent loved to read the Word of God and pray... every morning he would be found playing worship music.

Survivors include: wife, Karma Ann Moody of Young Harris, daughter and sons: Courtney Blair McNabb, Ethan Brent Moody and Elijah Cale Moody, all of Young Harris, Mother and step-father, Judy and Rex Norton of Young Harris, father, David Moody of Alto, GA, brother and sister-in-law, Derrick and Lori Moody of Hiawassee, sister and brother-in-law, Alicia and David Rogers of Young Harris, paternal grandmother, Muriel Moody of Hiawassee, and maternal grandparents, Earl and Doris Roberts of Young Harris. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

A celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Eastgate Church, 227 Chatuge Way, Hiawassee. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. for a slide show and fellowship. Please be seated by 5:30 p.m. so that we can begin to honor Brent with words from loved ones, co-workers and friends.

A private family interment will be in the Old Brasstown Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Greg Roberts officiating and Nathan Noblet, Tyler Moody, D.J. Rogers, Glen Barnard, Craig Roberts and Josh Owenby serving as pallbearers.
