The Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville announces Funeral Services for Bradley Joe Burger, age 53 of Mineral Bluff, Georgia who passed away on Saturday morning, August 31, 2019 at his home.
Bradley was a lifelong resident of Fannin County and a member of First Baptist Church of Blairsville. He was an avid hiker, motorcycle rider and pilot, in fact on most Sunday afternoons after church you could find Bradley at the Blairsville Airport with his friends talking about all things aviation. He had a quiet and unassuming manner and was a kind and compassionate person. Bradley had been preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jake and Willie Mason, and paternal grandparents, Cliff and Edith Burger.
Surviving family members include his parents, Guy and JoAnn Burger, of Morganton, Georgia; ex-wife, Robin Burger, of Mineral Bluff; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce Page and Debbie Burger, of Roswell, Georgia; and niece, Melissa JoAnn Burger. Many friends and other relatives also survive.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Blairsville with Dr. Fred Lodge officiating. Special music for the service was presented by Minister of Music Ed Lawrie and Mrs. Jackie Hill. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Clem Boatright, Joe Satterfield, Glen McCullers, Bruce Alexander, Steve Cockerham, and Kurtis Underwood. Serving as honorary escort was Harold Dyer, George Radcliffe, and the members of Acts 2 Sunday School Class. Interment was at Crestlawn Cemetery in Copperhill, Tennessee.
The family received friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville on Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.
