Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces Funeral Services for Bonnie Wilma Dyer Mote, age 88, of Blairsville, who passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 in Blairsville.
Mrs. Mote was born November 4, 1928 in the Choestoe area of Union County, Georgia to the late Edgar & Bertha (Hood) Dyer. Known to always put her family first, Mrs. Mote was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Choestoe Baptist Church, and during her years spent in Decatur, Georgia was an active member at Valley Brook Church.
Mrs. Mote leaves behind to cherish her memory: son, Larry Shuler; son & daughter-in-law, Tony & Valerie Shuler; brother & sister-in-law, Harold & Delores Dyer; sister-in-laws, Betty Dyer, Verna Ree Shuler, and Marie Smith; grandchildren, Michael Shuler, Emily Shuler, and Tammy Shirley; 2 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Coyl E. Shuler; her second husband, Almond Mote; and siblings, Annie Mae Burnette, James Perry Dyer, Lois Allen, Genell Burns, and Sarah Ruth Payne.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Choestoe Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Zollinger officiating. Special music will be presented by Martha Collins, Bill Collins, and Buddy Hunter. Interment will follow in Choestoe Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Curtis Payne, Barry Shuler, Tim Allen, Ricky Dyer, Kieth Nichols, and Doug Shuler. Honorary Pallbearers include Terry Weaver and Almond Mote, Jr.. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m..
