Bonnie Ledford

Mrs. Bonnie Mae Warren Ledford, age 82 of Blairsville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 5th, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Ledford was born on Thursday, September 19th, 1940 to the late Reid and Leila Brown Warren.  Mrs. Ledford started working in the Union County Superintendent's office as the Administrative Assistant when she graduated from Union County High School, and worked there for 32 years before retiring. She then went to work for Towns County Schools in the Superintendent's office for 12 more years. Bonnie worked for a brief period of time for the Union County Tax Commissioners office between years of service with Union County School System. Bonnie was a bailiff with the Union County Court System. She enjoyed golfing, traveling to Wyoming with her late husband to see friends, and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, John Logan Ledford, her parents, her sister Flora Payne, and her companion of 10 years, Don Fox.

Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Johanna and Larry Chambers of Blairsville; daughter, Freya and Tim Jones of Blairsville; daughter and son-in-law Teresa and John Blakely of Mt. Airy, Georgia. Also surviving are grandchildren Olivia Browning, Evan and Emma Browning, Vanna Chambers, and Kendell Blakely; grandsons Tyson and Denise Chambers of Blairsville and Kevin and Lauren Chambers of Atlanta; great grandson Isaiah Chambers of Blairsville.

Funeral Service, on Tuesday August 8, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with Rev Dwayne Patterson and Pastor Tyson Chambers officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Evan Browning, Kevin Chambers, Tyson Chambers, Bill Parker, Stanley Garrett, Gene Mason. The following will serve as honorary pallbearers Mac Mason & Bonnie's son-in-laws. The family will receive friends at Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home Monday, 7th of August, 2023, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
