Bobby Burch

Bobby Nando Burch, 82, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022, surrounded by his family. Bobby was born November 22, 1940, in Hiawassee, GA to Edd and Roberta Burch.  

Bobby honorably served his country on active duty in the Airforce from 1967 to 1969. He married his beloved wife of 59 years, Barbara Parker Burch on February 16th, 1963.

Bobby was preceded in death by father, Edd Burch; mother, Roberta Burch; and brother, Billy Burch. 

He is survived by his wife Barbara Parker Burch; daughter Tonya Ditmore; son-in-law Phillip Ditmore; sister Annie Ruth Dobbs and husband, Preston Dobbs; sister Mary Lou "Sue" Garrett and brother Bruce Burch. 

Bobby loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.  He loved working at the Farmer's Market in Blairsville and was one of the original staff when it opened.  He also enjoyed reading, gardening, hiking and collecting rocks.

Funeral Service, on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with Mike Youngblood officiating.  Music provided by Julia Youngblood.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Larry Dobbs, Preston Dobbs, Mickey Youngblood, Matthew Youngblood, Bryan Garrett, and Jeff Duvall.

The family will receive friends at Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville  Thursday, December 1, 2022, 1:00 PM -  3:00 PM.

Flowers are accepted, but in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Union Hill Cemetery, in care of Joann Woody, 685 Thumping Creek Road, Hayesville, NC 28904.
