Billie Jean Cearley, age 76 of McCaysville, passed away June 6, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital in Atlanta. Billie Jean was born July 2, 1934 in Monroe Co., TN to the late William Clyde and Margie Mae Keaton Stuart. A member of Friendship Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Johnson, one brother, Jim Stuart, a half-sister, Elizabeth Fry, two half-brothers, Rex and Hoyt Stuart and one grandson, Jason Pelfrey.
Survivors include daughter, Patsy Jean Payne, son, Ronald Carl Cearley, daughter, Frances Pelfrey, daughter, Midge Stone, two brothers, Kenneth Stuart, Sr., & Clyde D. Bob Stuart, one half-brother, W.R. Stuart, three half-sisters, Diane Walker, Deana Cook, and Meda Stuart, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, also friend Ralph Green and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry Gilbert officiating. Music provided by Gina Ledford. Interment is in the Church of Christ Cemetery. The gentlemen serving as Pallbearers are Brandon Cearley, Shon Cearley, Ed Stepp, Terry Stuart, David Stuart, Hansel Elrod, Kenneth Stuart, Jr., and Kenneth Stuart III. Honorary Pallbearers include Michael Johnson, Mark Johnson, Reed Ross, Greta Ross, Steven Treon, Tommy Quintrell and Buddy Finch.
