Billie Jo Cardot (Crump)

Billie Jo Cardot (Crump), age 86, of Lilburn, GA, passed away on January 28, 2025. She was born on October 10, 1938, in Blairsville, GA, to the late Frank and Carrie Crump.

Billie Jo was known for her love of entertaining family and friends, always opening her home to gather for special occassions. Thanksgiving was one of her favorite celebrations, where she hosted large gatherings that brought loved ones together. She loved to cook for her family and display her wonderful cooking skills developed from the different places she lived.

An avid gardener, Billie Jo had a knack for pulling weeds and tending to the garden with Willie. Her green thumb brought life and beauty to her surroundings, reflecting her loving nature. Family was always her top priority, specially her grandchildren. Her grandchildren will remember her for her wisdom she would selflessly share with those she loved. She found joy in every moment spent with the family. 

She is survived by her loving husband Willard Cardot; children Joan Denise (Norman) Puckett and Willard Russell (Donna Barrett) Cardot, Jr; brother John David Crump; grandchildren Evan Andrew Puckett (Kandace), Sophia Marie Cardot (Spencer), Nicholas David Cardot (Morgan), Adam Russell Cardot (Emma), and Rebecca Joan Cardot (Justin); and many dear nieces and nephews also survive.

She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Carrie Crump; siblings Emma Jane Turner, William McDonald Crump, Mildred Lounedah Crump, James Harold Crump, Georgia Carolyn Crump, Edward Crump, Joyce Tanner.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st at 3:00 pm with Rev. Matthew McDaniel officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1st from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Interment will follow.

Billie Jo will be fondly remembered for her kindness, laughter, and the joy she brought into the lives of everyone around her. She leaves behind cherished memories that will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends.
