Beverly B. Miller, age 91 died peacefully Nov. 5th, 2024, in Murphy, NC. She was born May 6th, 1933, in Weymouth, MA.
She graduated from Milburn High School in Milburn, NJ and The Washington School for Secretaries. She then worked for the Mennen Company in Morristown, NJ until her marriage to Donald Miller in 1956. They started their married life in Levittown, PA and had three children. The family then moved to Ambler, PA, Wilton, CT and, after Don's retirement, Bev and Don eventually moved to Cape Cod, MA.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Miller of Lynn Haven, FL, her son Keith Miller and his wife Debra of Mineral Bluff, GA and her daughter Sharon LaGaipa and her husband Paul of Venice, FL, her sister June Meyer of Sargent, TX and her sister-in-law Vickie Miller of Marietta, GA. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Beverly was an active member in the Presbyterian Church and she and Don had established many close friends over the years. They traveled, for many years, after Don's retirement from Mobil Oil Corp, with Bev's sister June and husband Gordy and Don's brother Jack and wife Vickie. They traveled the US visiting National Parks and Monuments and they shared their love of our great country with everyone they met.
After Don's passing in 2015, Bev was extremely fortunate to have lived with Keith and Debra in CT and for the last few years in Georgia before moving to the Murphy Rehabilitation and Nursing facility in Murphy NC. She has been given tireless care throughout.
Bev was a shining light with a constant smile and wonderful sense of humor. She had an incredible talent and love for embroidery and cross-stitching and made many beautiful gifts for family and friends that will continue to be treasured for many years to come. She was truly the family matriarch and her love for cooking and entertaining made the gatherings with family and friends both special and enjoyable.
There will be a future memorial family service on Cape Cod.
