Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces funeral services for Betty Sue Dockery Queen, age 63, of Young Harris, Georgia, who passed away on Tuesday evening, March 7, 2017 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
Betty was born in Blairsville on January 5, 1954, a daughter of Denver and Norma Owenby Dockery. She had been preceded in death by her husband, Dale Keith Queen, and a a brother, Steve Ray Dockery. Betty was a Christian who loved the Lord, and was always ready to lend a helping hand with a smile. She was a person who was loved by all who knew her, a precious, kind and gentle spirit.
Her family members will miss her so much. They include her daughter, Shawda Queen; her parents, Denver and Norma Dockery; sisters, Patricia Barrett, Debbie Kernea (Tim), Gail Allison, Alan Dockery, Stanley Dockery (Charlotte), Larry Dockery (Theresa), Jerry Dockery (Sandra), Mark Dockery (Lucy), and Keith Dockery (Jen); many nieces and nephews and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Friday, March 10, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, with Rev. R.L. Martin officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Stanley Dockery, Jonathon Dockery, Aaron Dockery, Larry Dockery, Mark Dockery, and Keith Dockery. The family will meet with friends for two hours before the funeral services begin, starting at 12 noon on Friday.
