Betty Hawkins

Mrs. Betty J. Hawkins, age 71, of Mineral Bluff, GA, went home to with her Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2019. She was born on August 22, 1947, in Fannin County to the late Rev. Ralph & Anna Mae Henson. A life long resident of Mineral Bluff, she loved and cared for everyone she met. Most of all she loved her family and friends. A member of New Liberty Baptist Church Mrs. Hawkins was a woman of strong faith. She goes on to be with her Husband and love of her life, Clifford Hawkins; parents, Ralph & Anna Hawkins; grandson, Jaedon Bryce Hawkins; brother, Cecil Henson, and sisters, Eunice Roberson, Ruby Poe and Hazel Ware. She will be remembered by all who knew her, but especially missed by her daughter, Pamela Jannine Hawkins of Mineral Bluff, son & daughter-in-law, Clifford David & Tammy Hawkins of Morganton; granddaughter, Holly Erin Hawkins of Morganton; brother & sister-in-law, Jack & Pat Henson of Marietta and sister Edith Hyde of Blue Ridge. Also sharing in her legacy are several beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Jesse Sisson, Rev. Tully Griggs, and Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 15, 2019, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Charlie Helton, Ed Hawkins, Tim Hawkins, Randy Henson, Rick Hyde, and Rusty Roberson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dee McClure, James Hyatt, Mike Holloway, Jamie Bailey, Scott Rogers, and E.L. Ware.
