Betty Grace Harper

Betty Grace Jones Harper, age 83 of Blue Ridge, lifelong resident of Fannin County, passed away Thursday morning, March 29, 2018 at her home. Betty was born March 27, 1935 in Fannin County, GA to the late Carter Tate Jones and the late Jewell Shell Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Fred E. Harper and brother and sister-in-law, Gaines "Toby" and Christine Jones.

A member of Temple Baptist Church in Blue Ridge, she was a very active member until she started suffering from arthritis. She was a homemaker, seamstress, realist painter, gardener, an avid reader and nature enthusiast. Betty attended old Blue Ridge School and her class was the very first to have 12 years graduating in 1953.

Survivors include several cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. James Galloway officiating. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 1-2 pm.
