Mrs. Betty C. Kight, age 90 of Blairsville, formerly of Barnesville, GA passed away on Sunday August 23rd, 2020 at home.
Mrs. Kight was born on September 2nd, 1929 in Atlanta, GA to the late Clyde and Alma (Johnson) Mitchell. She was a longtime resident of Barnesville, but recently moved to Blairsville to live with her granddaughter, Mandy who was her caretaker. Betty was an avid reader and was an excellent cook. She was a very kind-hearted and generous person who loved to spend time with her family, especially the grandkids and great-grands. She is preceded in death by her husband, James and her beloved children, Steve, Larry, Janet, and infant Jack Thomas.
Survivors include her children and in-laws; Debbie (Jimmy) Kight of Senoia, GA and Ronnie Horton of Stockbridge, GA; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
There are no services planned at this time. Betty will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta, GA at a later date.
