Bennie Helen Franklin

Bennie Helen Ledford Franklin, age 66, of Hayesville, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Franklin was born October 23, 1954, in Clay, NC, to the late Glenn W. Ledford and the late Opalee Buchanan Ledford. She was preceded in death by brothers Arnold Ledford and Matthew Ledford.
She had worked in child care and was affectionately known as "Mamaw" by her students and "Dude" by her family. She enjoyed painting and spending time with her family.
Survivors include son Carl Glenn and wife Amy Townson, sister Sarai Barnett, grandson Connor Townson, many nieces, and nephews.
There will be a private family service held at a later date.
