Bennie Frances Hughes

Bennie Frances Hughes, age 77, of Turtletown, went to be with the Lord August 18, 2011 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Bennie was born August 17, 1934 at home on Stansbury Rd. in Turtletown, TN to the late Fred and Retheal Early Hughes. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Delano Hughes, Kenneth Hughes, and Clarence Hughes.

Bennie repented of his sins in September of 1944 at Maple Grove Baptist Church, and was baptized by Wade Collins. Bennie received the Holy Ghost in September of 1946 and was baptized in Jesus name by Ulysses Prince and lived the rest of his life in holiness and faith. He was a member of New Hope Holiness Church.

Survivors include: one sister, Helen Key, and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the New Hope Holiness Church in Murphy, NC with the Ministers, Brother Johnny Prater, Brother Shane Prater and Brother Jeremy Tipton officiating. Music provided by New Hope Singers. Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery at Wolf Creek. Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be all the congregation of New Hope Holiness Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 6-9pm, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the New Hope Holiness Church.
