Mr. Benjamin "Ben" Franklin Davis, Jr. age 80, of Blairsville, GA passed away Thursday, October 8, 2009.

Mr. Davis was born on September 14, 1929 in Fulton, GA, to the late Benjamin and Sara Adams Davis. He was a long time member of Collins Memorial United Methodist Church in Atlanta and a recent member of Coosa United Methodist Church in Blairsville. Mr. Davis was an Army Veteran during the Korean War and was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Davis.

Survivors include: wife, Virginia Davis of the home, son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Deborah Davis of Douglasville, GA, son, Keith Davis of Powder Springs, GA, daughter, Debbie Smith of Warrensburg, MO, step-son and wife, Jay and Bonnie Carlton of Jasper, GA, step-daughter and husband, Jill and Doug Mason of Lithia, FL, sister and husband, Sara and Frank Coffey of Norcross, GA, sister, Eva Smith of Woodstock, GA, brother and wife, Edwin and Carol Davis of Norcross, GA, twenty grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 12, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Coosa United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Midkiff officiataing. Pallbearers will be, Adam Davis, Jay Carlton, Doug Mason, Edwin Davis, Tyler Mason and Neal Smith. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta, GA, with military honors conducted by Fort McPherson Honor Guard.

The family will recive friends at Cochran Funeral Home, Blairsville, Sunday Ocotber 11, 2009 from 6 to 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to, Coosa United Methodist Church Benevolence Fund.
