Ben L Neece

Mr. Ben L Neece, age 87, of Blairsville died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at his home. Ben was born February 10, 1922 in Montague County, Texas, the son of Ben L. Neece, Sr. and Margaret Emma Morris Neece. He had served in the U.S. Army during WW II, was a former U.S. Border Patrol officer, former U.S. Deputy Marshal and a pioneer in the field of Automotive Air Conditioning and the refrigerated trucking industry. Ben was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and also, a member of Allegheny Lodge #114 F&AM.

Survivors include: daughter, Carolyn Naomi Neece Vaughn of Fowler, CO and sons, Tommy Gerald Neece of Farmersville, TX, Ben Richard Neece and Robert Duane Neece, both of Brownsville, TX and Phillip Bensen Neece and Kenneth Raymond Neece, both of Gainesville, GA. 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, January 15, 2010 from the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Members of Allegheny Lodge #114 will serve as pallbearers and confer Masonic graveside rites.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 15th from 11:30 until 1:30 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Red Cross.
