Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces the death of Mrs. Barbara Jean Zoellick Blackmer, age 86, of Blairsville, who passed away on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 in Union County Nursing Home in Blairsville.
Mrs. Blackmer was born in Palatine, Illinois, and was the widow of the late Weston Wilroy Blackmer, who passed away in 1999. She was a member of All Saint's Lutheran Church in Blairsville, and volunteered as a Pink Lady in Union County Nursing Home for many years.
Surviving family members include son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Judy Blackmer, of Blairsville; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Eleanor Blackmer, of Green Acres, Florida; daughter, Gayle Raulerson, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; and son, Royce Blackmer, of Okeechobee, Florida; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren all share in Mrs. Blackmer's legacy.
Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. to be held at All Saints Lutheran Church in Blairsville.
