Barbara Ann Fortenberry Everett

Barbara Ann Fortenberry Everett, age 86, of Blairsville, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at Northside Hospital in Cummings. She was born November 4, 1936, in Union County to the late Garn C. Fortenberry and Bonnie Kirby Fortenberry.
Mrs. Everett was a Shady Grove Methodist Church member and had worked as a Library assistant at the Union County Library. She enjoyed yard work, especially cutting grass, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Everett, in 2006.
Survivors include daughter, sons-in-law, Laura and Sid Dyer and Sharon and Dean Stanley, a brother, Claxton Fortenberry; two grandchildren, Curtis Dyer and Nathan Stanley; great-grandchildren Sidney Dyer, Eddie Dyer, Harper Dyer, Saydie, and Mason Jaggers.
Graveside services will be held Monday, December 5, 2022, at 12:30 PM from the Shady Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Mark Alexander officiating. The music will be by Merle Fortenberry.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Sid Dyer, Curtis Dyer, Dean Stanley, and Nathan Stanley.
The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home Monday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
