August Joseph Grader, Jr.

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death and funeral services for Mr. August Joseph Grader, Jr., age 86, of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 in Union General Hospital in Blairsville, Georgia.

Mr. Grader was born in Chicago, Illinois, a son of the late August Grader, Sr., and the late Evelyn Moore Grader. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and served during the Korean War, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. Mr. Grader had been preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Rosecrans. ;

Surviving family members include his wife, Carole A. Grader; sons: Daniel Grader, Christopher Grader, Timothy Grader; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nephew, Mark Pruesch; and niece, Sharon Pruesch Jackson. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 22nd, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., to be held at Antioch Baptist Church, with Rev. George Cline officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, with military honors presented by North Georgia Honor Guard. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Daniel Grader, Christopher Grader, Timothy Grader, Jonathan Grader, Anthony Grader, and Dino Belotti.

The family will visit with friends before the service starts at the church, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
