Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mr. Anthony Clyde Garrett, age 64, a native and resident of Suches, Georgia, who passed away on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022, from an extended illness.
Anthony had worked alongside his father and uncles for over 25 years as a carpenter. He was a Christian, and a loving father and husband. He had a great sense of humor, and he enjoyed telling stories or jokes to make others laugh. Anthony was always thinking of others, and calling and checking on his family and friends daily. He was loved by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
Left behind to treasure memories of Anthony include: his wife of 18 years, Sabrina Garrett; a son, Nathan; cousins, Kathy Crisson, Carol Parks, Charles Moose, and Reatha Etheridge. Many friends and extended family members also share in his legacy. Anthony had been preceded in death by his father, J.W. Garrett, and mother, Ruby Garrett, both of Suches.
Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Suches, Georgia with Dr. George Burch and Pastor Rudy Tribble officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Gentlemen selected to serve as pallbearers are Chris Crisson, Casey Crisson, Richard Pickelsimer, Brett Bridges, Dwayne Moose, and Chuck Pickelsimer.
