Anne Brown Kimsey, age 93, of Epworth, GA, passed away December 7, 2009.Mrs. Kimsey was a native of Washington, GA. She was a homemaker, a member of Epworth Baptist Church since 1937, a member of Easter Star for 50 years, and a member of the Epworth Homemaker Club. She loved gardening and arranging flowers.
Anne was preceded in death by husband, Paul Denton Kimsey, daughter, Janet Elizabeth, infant son, James Barry, and seven sisters and brothers.
She is survived by sons & daughters-in-law, Ronnie & Barbara Kimsey of Blue Ridge, GA, Richard & Glenda Kimsey of Little Mountain, SC; sisters, Louise Smith of Tignall, GA, Reba Pounds of Thomason, GA; grandsons & wives, Wes & Lynn Kimsey, Matt
& Kelly Kimsey; son, Nathan Kimsey; great-granddaughters, Ashley Rogers, Britney Carroll, Aaron Kimsey, Neyland Kimsey; great-grandsons, Matthew Kimsey, Jr., Mason Kimsey.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the First Baptist Church of Epworth with Dr. Tom Jordan officiataing. Music will be provided by Doug Simonds. Pallbearers will be Wes Kimsey, Matt Kimsey, Nathan Kimsey, Matthew Kimsey, Jr., Mason Kimsey, and Andrew Carrol. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributuions be made to the building fund of Epworth Baptist Church.
