Ann Schafer

August 11, 1942 — May 27, 2015

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces graveside services for Mrs. Ann Schafer, age 72, of Vermillion, Ohio, formerly of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away in Union General Hospital in Blairsville on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.

Ann was born in Windsor, Ontario, on August 11, 1942, a daughter of the late William Adams and the late Grace Brush Adams. Ann was a caregiver for the sick and elderly. A God-fearing woman, she loved everyone. There was not a person that she met that she did not have an impact on. Always doing things for others, Ann loved her family, and they loved her back. She was known affectionately to her family as "Grammie"........ Besides her parents, a son, Billy Schafer, had also preceded her in death. Ann was a member of House of Prayer Interdenominational Church.

Left to treasure Ann's memory are her family members: husband, Larry, of Blairsville; son, Robb Schafer, of Blairsville; and daughter, Holly Turner, of Murphy, North Carolina; brother, Bobby Adams, of Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren: Chase Schafer, Seth Wheeler, Chandler Schafer, Solomon Turner, and Chayton Schafer. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

Graveside services have been scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., to be held at House of Prayer Cemetery, with Rev. Jerry Helton officiating. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Flowers are being accepted; however, if you wish to do so, memorial contributions may be directed to The Salvation Army.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville. Please share your condolences with the family on our website, www.cochranfuneralhomes.com.
