Anita Louise Lackey

Mrs. Anita Louise Lackey, age 78 of Copperhill, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Anita was born May 3, 1939 in Wankeegan, Illinois to the late Gerald Stump and the late Verna Matheson Stump. A member of Damascus Church, she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include husband, Bill Lackey, five daughters, Kathleen Sutton, Melissa Burgess, Nanette (Richard) Deas, Kristy Wood and Laura Queen, two sisters, Joanne Riordan and Sandra (Lynn) Daffer, nine grandchildren, Nicole (Jacob) Dohm, Sarah (Josh) Thomas, Ross Cornwell, Tyler Queen, Bryson Cornwell, Bailee Wood, Zachary Queen, Blake Day and Brayden Ledford, and two great-grandchildren, Miriam Dohm and Levi Dohm.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Denny Hawkins officiating. A private interment will follow in Damascus Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Deas, Lester Darnell, Ross Cornwell, Bryson Cornwell, Jacob Dohm and Josh Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Tyler and Zachary Queen.

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 12-2 pm.
