Anita Hebble Lippmann, of Blairsville, passed away peacefully at Union General Hospital on May 28, 2020, following a brief illness. She was 92 years old. Anita was born in Tampa, FL on June 25, 1927, to Henry Howes Hebble and Corinne Bartlett Hebble. She moved from Jacksonville, FL to Blairsville in 2001, and she loved her new home in the mountains. Anita was a member of First United Methodist Church in Blairsville.
Anita graduated from Florida State University, and worked in a variety of jobs throughout her life, predominantly in Social Services, as she loved helping people. She was also an avid volunteer, serving as President of the Women's Auxiliary at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL for many years. Anita also loved playing tennis and bridge, and she enjoyed both activities until she could no longer physically participate in them. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and she loved her family well. Anita will be forever remembered for her love of life, infectious laugh, fashion sense, and her spunky personality.
Anita is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Corinne Hebble, and her husband, William Lippmann. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joseph and Colleen Collins of Blairsville; a son, Alan Harper of Jacksonville, FL; and grandchildren, Alexander Collins and Emma Collins, of Blairsville. Many relatives and friends also survive.
