Mrs. Anita Davenport Olmos, age 62 of Calhoun, formerly of Blairsville, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Olmos was born April 12, 1953 in Copperhill, TN to the late Vernon and the Ellav Newman Davenport. Anita was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Anita would tell you that her occupation was a Domestic Goddess. She loved her home and taking care of her family. She was a US Air Force Veteran, serving as one of the first female firefighters in the Air Force. Anita also loved to travel and see new places across the United States and in foreign countries.
Survivors include: husband her Robert Olmos of Calhoun, GA, daughters, Carmelita Jean Everett of Calhoun and Alisha Marie Durdin of San Diego, CA, sisters, Betty Henderson of Blairsville, Marie Fortenberry of Calhoun, Doris (Roy) Hefner of Blairsville, and Shirley(Wayne) Aldridge of Cleveland, GA, grandchildren, Kayden Breeana Pagel, Jaymeson Robert Durdin, Asher Logan Durdin, and Keegan Roarke Everett
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Cotton Harris and Rev. Ray Potts officiating. Music provided by The Dixie Aires. Interment will follow in the Bethlem Baptist Church Cemetery with graveside military honors by the U.S. Air Force and the North Georgia Honor Guard. The followong gentlemen have been requested to serve as pallbearers: Casey Henderson, Asencion Anciso, Isaac Stokes, Wayne Aldridge, Roy Hefner, and Nick Fortenberry.
The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville of Blairsville, Monday, December 28, 2015, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
