Amelia Whitmire

Amelia Ann Whitmire, age 75, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in Blairsville, GA. Amelia was born October 2, 1948, in Morganton, GA to Robert and Annie Lee Eller. Amelia was preceded in death by her spouse, Tommy Whitmire; sister, Revonda Rogers; father, Robert Eller; and mother, Annie Lee Eller.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Sharon) Whitmire and Vince (Tiandra) Richards; step-son, Jeff Whitmire; step-daughter, Dena Thifault; step-son, Marty (Denise) Whitmire; grandchildren, Matt Partaine, Chris Partaine, Jacob Whitmire, Jessica Helinger, Cris Moody, and Haven Whitmire; eight great-grandchildren; and loving companion, Ray Rumplik.

Funeral Service, on Monday July 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Cochran|McDaniel Funeral Home-Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Randy Hooper and Rev. Gerald McGaha officiating. Music provided by Missy & Randy Hooper.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Michael Whitmire, Vince Richards, Cris Moody, Mel Holt, Marty Whitmire, and Corey Hooper.

Interment will follow at Liberty Hill United Methodist Church in Blairsville, GA.
