Amelia Elaine Golden

Mrs. Elaine Mason Golden, age 78 of Sulphur, LA formerly of Blue Ridge passed away peacefully Saturday, March 29, 2014. Elaine was a native of Blue Ridge and has resided in Sulphur, LA for over 30 years. She retired from Bell South and Walmart. Elaine was a member of Central Baptist Church in Sulphur for over 20 years. Her favorite hobbies included crossword puzzles, crocheting, macrame and reading. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her daughters, Amelia Fontenot and husband Dennis of Sulphur, and Susan Rich of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Alyson Erikson and husband Vanner of Natchitoches, Alexander Breaux, Hanna Fontenot, Haylee Fontenot all of Sulphur, and Bobby Rich of New York; great-granddaughter, Landry Kate Erikson; many nieces and nephews and her beloved cats, Mac and Katie. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James "Bobby" Mason and husband of 7 years, JM "Goldie" Golden.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 3:30 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin Murphy and Rev. Justin Mason officiating and the burial will follow in Salem #2 Baptist Church Cemetery. Music will be provided by Mary Lou Davis and Eunice Ann Darnell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm before the service on Wednesday. The gentlemen serving as Pallbearers will be Rick Goss, Dan Mason, Mike Davis, Dennis Fontenot, Van Erikson, and Alex Breaux. Honorary Pallbearer will be David Darnell.
