Alyce Marie Ford

Alyce Marie Ford, of North Palm Beach Florida, passed away unexpectedly, July 2, 2011 in Hiawassee Georgia, at age 85, surrounded by her family. She was born in Seneca Falls, NY - August 20, 1925, to Frank and Theresa Spahr. She was the last living member of her immediate family of mother, father and sister Jane.
Married to Seth L. Ford for 64 years, she raised five children while living in six different states. She dedicated her life to her husband, children, and church. She was a past board member of the Catholic Charities of the Palm Beach Diocese. Alyce, along with her husband Seth were founding members of St. Clare Parish in North Palm Beach, Florida.
Alyce is survived by her four children, Daniel & Mary of Jupiter FL, Carol Marok of Atlanta GA, David & Jennifer of Hayesville NC, and Dr. Eileen Farwick & Dave of Windermere FL. Family includes Thirteen Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her special cousin Sister Janet Oaks and her brother Jack of Rochester, NY, and Maggie Magistro, of Hiawassee, GA. She will be truly missed by her special little dog Sparky. Alyce was predeceased by her husband Seth June 10, 2011, and her oldest son Gregory L. Ford of Charlotte, NC.
Graveside services were held July 9, 2011, in Hiawassee GA, at Laurel Hill Memory Gardens. Her faith and love will live on in those she has touched. Her soul is with God, her memories are with us, and we should smile for her because she is probably finally at her condo on the beach!
