Mr. Alvin Edward Dial, age 91 of Young Harris, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at his home.
Mr. Dial was born Tuesday, August 14, 1917 in Fulton Co., GA to the late William Franklin and Bessie Allene (Lay) Dial. He was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church, and a WWII U S Army Veteran. Mr. Dial was preceded in death by wife, Faye Johnson Dial in Dec. of 2003.
Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Sandra & Paul Walker of Loganville, GA, step-son, Jim Wyatt of Suwanne, GA, step-son & daughter-in-law, Steve & Gail Wyatt of Columbia, TN, grandchildren, Todd Walker, Jennifer & Ryan Medlock, Brittany Wyatt, great grandchildren, Alicen Walker, Justin Medlock, Caleb Medlock.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with the Dr. Rudy Patton officiating. Interment will follow in Osborn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, January 2.
