Alma Seabolt

Alma Seabolt, age 95, passed away on November 2, 2023.

Alma was born in Murphy, NC to Thomas Lovingood and Idia Coleman and raised in the Hanging Dog Community. Alma married the love her life Calvin J. Seabolt. Alma was a member of the Hanging Dog Missionary Baptist Church. Alma loved being outdoors in her garden and loved watching the animals. Alma also enjoyed and taking care of her family.

She was preceded in death by Thomas Lovingood (Father), Idia Coleman (Mother), Gordon Lovingood (Brother), Edna Hanna (Sister), Fulbert Lovingood (Brother), Calvin J. Seabolt (Spouse).

Survivors include her son Timothy Seabolt, Grandchildren Seamona Seabolt, Tiffancy Seabolt, and Christopher Seabolt, Great-Grandchildren Destiny Jillson, Kevin Jillson, Marcus Seabolt, Dakota Totherow, and Bobby Totherow.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 06, 2023 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at the Cochran Funeral Homes of Murphy. Services will follow at 2:00pm also at the Cochran Funeral Homes of Murphy with Rev. Eddis Dockery officiating. Interment will follow after service to the Hanging Dog Baptist Church Cemetery in Murphy, NC.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking to donate to the Arber Day Foundation.
