Alma May Nelson (Brooks)

Ms. Alma May Nelson, age 78, of Copperhill, TN passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN.
Alma was a loving momaw and mother. She was a member of the Ducktown Methodist Church and was employed by the United States Postal Service in Ductown, TN. She retired after 35 years of service as the post master.
Ms. Nelson is survived by daughter & son-in-law, Vicki and Garry Elrod, of Cleveland, TN; and son, Rick Nelson of Cumming, GA ; grandchildren, Lyndsey Nelson, Lauryn Nelson, Garrett Elrod, and Brandon Elrod; and one sister, Geneva Dozard.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 22, 2011 from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel at 7:00 P.M. with Renny Whittenbarger officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Nelson, Garrett Elrod, Brandon Elrod, Andy Dozard and Garry Elrod. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Sunday.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., time of service, at the the funeral home.
