Mr. A.C. Kile, age 83 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009 at his home. Mr. Kile was born Thursday, April 16, 1925 in Whitfield County, Georgia to the late John C. Kile and the late Daisy Pierce Kile. Mr. Kile attended Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a WW II Army Veteran serving in the 88th Chemical Mortar Batallion in the Pacific Theatre.
Survivors include: wife, Mabel Kile of Hiawassee, GA, daughters, Helen Christian of McDonough, GA and Jerri Cooper of Dalton, GA, son, A.C. Kile, Jr. of Conyers, GA, and sisters, Irene Duckworth of Dalton, GA and Zelma Robinson of Dayton, OH. 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee with the Rev. Harold Ledford officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hills Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Ronnie Christian, Spence Kile, Steven Kile, Kevin Cooper, Paul Bell, Duane Chatelain, Jeff Robinson and Mitchell Thomason.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-3 and 6-8 PM, Monday, January 12.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
